The Great Hall Exhibitions

The Institute’s magnificent entry hall is the setting for two exhibitions each year. Students collaborate with leading artists, galleries, and collectors to bring major works of contemporary art to the center of the Institute’s academic home and community.

NYU Curatorial Collaborative

Institute students collaborate with NYU Steinhardt student artists to curate exhibitions in different venues around campus. The collaborative is a laboratory that reflects the contemporary cultural situation – art making, art criticism, curating, and art history are mobilized into striking new combinations.

Silberberg Lectures and Artists at the Institute

Institute students organize major public lecture series, introducing top scholars, top artistis, and topical thinking.

Archaeological Adventures

Institute students have unique opportunities to be part of the teams at monumental sites in Egypt, Greece, Italy, and Turkey and to work closely with the professors and experts leading the excavations, gaining hands-on experience of ancient civilizations.
